On Saturday, 30 September 2017, the Life Changes Trust hosted a very special conference, run by carers and for carers. The event was designed and organised by people with long experience of caring for someone living with dementia, unpaid.
This conference was for people currently caring for someone with dementia, unpaid, and who live in Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire or East Renfrewshire.
This is the first of several similar events in Scotland, planned and delivered by carers for carers of people with dementia, so while this event is only for carers residing in the areas above, future conferences will take place in other locations across Scotland.
The carers conference provided some valuable resources for those who attended. You can find out more about them here:
The Directory lists services and groups that could be helpful to people who care for those with dementia, listed by the geographical areas pertinent to this event. Further Directories will be produced as events take place across Scotland. Download the Directory here.
