Dementia Engagement and Empowerment Project (DEEP)
Dementia Engagement & Empowerment Project (DEEP) was awarded £357,576 for the period of October 2015 to September 2019, to develop a successful and diverse network of DEEP groups in Scotland.
DEEP engages and empowers people living with dementia to influence attitudes, services and policies that affect their lives. Through this funding award DEEP has grown into a successful and diverse national network, with group members feeling part of a wider network of influence and a driving force to make the voices of people with dementia heard.
The growth and development of the DEEP network has continued by increasing the number of groups in Scotland and continuing to link them together nationally, supporting the network to be proactive in its influencing activities and taking action on the issues that are identified as important.
The Trust co-funded this work with Comic Relief and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
